Home Care
with BASScare

There are few things in life more sacred to us than our homes. They are the first place we want to return to, and the last place we want to leave. Extending the time we live in them is a priority for many older Australians, and Home Care services are often the best way to achieve this.

BASScare’s Home Care services strike the perfect balance between choice and support so you can live your life the way you want to. Our aim is to empower senior Australians to feel safe, secure and comfortable in their own homes with a level of service tailored to them.
To this end, our Home Care services are consumer-directed; our flexible options are designed to cater to your needs and desires, whether that’s temporary assistance or a long-term solution.

What is
Home Care?

Home Care involves a level of service tailored to the individual and delivered in their home. What that help looks like is different for everyone depending on your circumstances. It may simply involve a check-in from a care worker once a week, a hand with groceries and shopping, or more comprehensive support for complex needs.

Whatever your situation, BASScare can help keep you safe and comfortable in your own home for longer.

How our Home Care
Works

You’ve had your Assessment by the Aged Care Assessment Service, received a letter from My Aged Care approving you for a home care package and now it’s time to choose a provider. We provide all four levels of government-funded home care packages, from basic care needs (Level 1) through to high care needs (Level 4). Or, you may have been approved for Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) Personal Care or Domestic Assistance services.

It’s time to talk to us about our range of quality services, each designed to help you live safely and independently in your own home.

Contact us via phone (03) 8809 0050 or email homecare@basscare.org.au or visit us at our Home Care Office at 131 Maling Road, Canterbury Victoria 3126.

What are the different
Home Care packages?

Level 1
Basic
Needs

This package is designed to give you a little extra support to help you stay independent. It might include one or two visits a week from a care worker or help with cleaning and tidying around the house, support for your personal health such as grooming and dressing, and assistance with meals, shopping and transport.

Level 2
Low Care Needs

Similar to Level 1 care, with weekly visits from a care worker increased to three or four. Again, help is available when it comes to cleaning and tidying around the house, personal health support such as grooming and dressing, and assistance with meals, shopping and transport.

Level 3
Intermediate Care Needs

This package is intended for seniors who require a little more support to live safely and comfortably at home. There is the option for visits from a care worker or nurse most days of the week and, on top of the services available in Levels 1 and 2, access to trained medical staff, including podiatrists, massage therapists and virtual nurse health monitoring.

Level 4
High Care Needs

This Home Care package is suitable for those with high-level or complex needs and includes assistance with medical or nursing support. This might involve visits from nurses or care workers every day, as well as domestic help with dressing and grooming, tidying and shopping, meals and transport. The dedicated and qualified staff at BASScare can support your complex needs in the comfort of your own home.
