About this opportunity
We value the experiences, skills and knowledge of our Volunteers and are curious to find individuals wanting to share their special hobby or skill with our residents. This role would suit anyone wanting to volunteer and work alongside or teach older people living in residential aged care. Perhaps knitting, sewing, or model planes the list is endless, we may have an opportunity in a 1 on 1 setting or as a group activity so please enquire.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Provide education and knowledge about your skill or hobby
- Provide social interaction.
Key Skills and Experience
- The volunteer will be friendly and outgoing with great communication skills
The role is really open to the volunteer’s creative expression and special interest, therefore you have a lot of freedom to make this role your own and impart your knowledge on others. The volunteer will develop their skills in communication, interpersonal skills, creativity, leadership, problem solving, advocacy, team work and get to know our clients and staff.
