Our meals service provides over 250 nutritious meals each day via Meals-on-Wheels and our community dining rooms. All meals are prepared by our expert staff in the state-of-the art BASScare kitchen.
Each weekday, between 11.30am and 1.00pm, our dedicated team of Meals-on-Wheels volunteers deliver hot ready-to-eat nutritious meals to our clients, fresh from our kitchens in Canterbury. These well balanced meals are also available frozen, ready to enjoy over the weekends and on public holidays. With respect and consideration our volunteers deliver so much more than a nutritious meal service. Each client and their families can take comfort knowing that BASScare volunteers have come calling to check on their well being.
The BASScare Meals-on-Wheels service covers a significant area of Canterbury, Surrey Hills, Camberwell, Balwyn, and Balwyn North providing over 100 meals each day to the aged and people with disabilities.
These value-for-money meals are subsidised by Boroondara Council and the Department of Human Services. All meals are prepared fresh daily in the BASScare kitchen and special dietary requirements can be catered for.
