A variety of Social Support and day activity programs are provided six days a week from our centres in Canterbury and North Balwyn. Our aim is to enhance an individual’s health, well-being, friendships and connection within their community.
Our Social Support service aims to enhance individuals’ health and well-being, strengthen friendship networks and reduce isolation and loneliness.
We run the service with funds provided by the Commonwealth Department of Health and the City of Boroondara to provide a range of social activities for older people living in and around most of the City of Boroondara and most of the surrounding suburbs.
Various activities are run 6 days a week and transport is provided to a range of these, enabling local residents to attend the centres in Canterbury and North Balwyn.
