Faversham House – Our Residential home located in Canterbury is currently searching for talented, Personal Care Attendants (PCA) for casual and permanent positions.

The Role

  • Contributes to resident assessment, care planning and evaluation of care.
  • Documents any observed exceptions to the care plan in the resident’s progress notes
  • Attends to meal preparation, delivery and refreshments as required.
  • Provides personal care to assist residents in accordance with their individual care plan. This includes, assisting residents with personal hygiene such as: showering, washing, toileting, shaving, dressing and grooming, feeding and hydrating, lifting, adding and supporting residents with mobility, assisting residents with sensory aids including hearing aids and spectacles; and providing emotional support.

About you

  • You understand the importance of assisting and supporting residents to maintain independence and dignity with respect to activities of daily living and lifestyle.
  • You are committed to delivering person centred care
  • You are an effective communicator, you have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
  • You are enthusiastic and take pride in delivering the best possible service to our residents
  • You have a Current police check
  • 2 years working experience in residential Aged Care
  • Certificate 3 in Individual Support
  • The right to work in Australia

Hours of work

Casual and permanent a minimum 3 days per week commitment is required.
