About this opportunity

Do you have great communication skills and a desire to provide a fun and engaging day out for those living with Dementia? We are looking for a supportive volunteer on our Day Outing Trips. You will need to assist clients on and off the bus, assist with lunch and provide social support and engagement.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Provide clients with social support on outings
  • Assist clients on and off the bus
  • Assist with lunch
  • Encourage clients to participate as independently as possible in activities

Key Skills and Experience:

The volunteer will have exceptional communication skills and be committed to providing those living with dementia with a fun and supportive day out.


This opportunity allows for a day of respite for carers, it also provides people living with Dementia an opportunity to socialise and explore their surrounds with like minded individuals and supportive staff and volunteers. Volunteer will further develop their skills in communication, teamwork, problem solving, leadership, planning and interpersonal skills. The volunteer will also develop skills in elder care and caring for clients living with dementia.

Training will be provided to the successful applicant.
