Our meals service provides over 250 nutritious meals each day via Meals-on-Wheels and our community dining rooms. All meals are prepared by our expert staff in the state-of-the art BASS Care kitchen.
Each weekday, between 11.30am and 1.00pm, a large team of dedicated BASS Care volunteers deliver hot nutritious meals to our clients, while frozen meals can be provided for weekends and public holidays. Our service is highly valued by our clients, not just for the convenience and nutrition, but for the contact it brings with our volunteers.
The BASS Care Meals-on-Wheels service covers a significant area of Canterbury, Surrey Hills, Camberwell, Balwyn, and Balwyn North providing over 200 meals each day to the aged and people with disabilities.
The meals are very reasonably priced, subsidised as they are by Boroondara Council and the Department of Human Services. All meals are prepared in the BASS Care kitchen and special dietary requirements can be catered for.
