Faversham House highly commended by Vision Australia

On the 26th May 2009 BASS Care’s Faversham House facility received a Highly Commended Certificate as part of Vision Australia’s ‘Making a Difference Awards’. These prestigious awards are presented to local business, organisations or individuals who have shown outstanding support for people who are blind or have low vision in their community.

BASS Care modified Faversham House to make the buildings accessible and safe for vision-impaired residents by installing tactile markers and changing lighting. Staff also assist in many ways, for example, by telling residents what is on their dinner plate. This has a direct impact on the quality of life of residents and their families.

Faversham House are proud to work with Vision Australia to enhance the lives of our residents who are blind or have low vision.
